Adding your card to Google Pay takes just a few minutes. First, download the app on Google Play or check to see if it's already installed on your phone. Then, open the app and follow the instructions to add a card. Verify your card if needed, then you're all set!
For in store and public transport payments, Google Pay works on any Android™ devices with NFC capabilities, running Android Lollipop 5.0 or higher. You can make in app or online payments with Google Pay even if your device does not have NFC capabilities.
Say goodbye to empty fare cards when you tap and go with Mastercard on Google Pay. To pay on public transport, simply unlock your phone - no need to open the app*, then hold the back of your phone to the fare reader upon entry and exit. The blue tick appears and you are on your way! *Your default Mastercard will be charged.
